Elizabeth Johnson is a hero of mine. Such a gracious combination of fidelity to Christian tradition, creative exploration in Christian theology, and commitment to the church is hard to find (plus her writing is easy to read). As an aspiring theologian I tend to get theological crushes on books and her book ‘She Who Is‘ was one of those books. Our newest podcast is a conversation I had with her about her newest book ‘Quest for the Living God.’ I had this book pre-ordered on amazon and finished two days after I got because it was that good. You could call it a tour through contemporary currents in the doctrine of God which highlights the context from which each vision emerged, the theological rationale behind it, and the practical implications each vision has for everyday life.
